PRIVACY POLICY

The Faculty of Law of the Union University in Belgrade (hereinafter referred to as the Faculty) adopts the Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy of consumers who purchase books in the Faculty’s online bookstore (hereinafter referred to as the Privacy Policy).

This Privacy Policy regulates which consumer personal data the Faculty processes, for what purposes, how long it is stored, and the rights of consumers who use the Faculty’s online bookstore in connection with the processing of their personal data.

 

1. What data do we process?

When consumers visit the website of the Faculty, the cookies used by the website collect data about their location. When visiting the site, consumers will have the opportunity to see a window in which they will be informed which cookies the site uses and will be able to disable the use of all cookies except those necessary for technical functioning. More about cookies in Part IV.
When buying books in an online bookstore, consumers are asked for the following information:
first and last name of the consumer;
address of residence and address for delivery of the book if it is not the same as the address of residence;
telephone number;
e-mail address.

 

2. Purposes for which we process said data

We process the data collected by cookies for the purpose of facilitating the visit of the consumer’s website, analytical and marketing purposes.

We process the data that consumers leave when purchasing books in the online bookstore for the purpose of concluding a book sale contract with the consumer, fulfilling our contractual obligations and the obligations we have towards the consumer according to the Law on Consumer Protection and other laws of the Republic of Serbia that may apply to the contractual relationship between the Faculty and the consumer, as well as for the purpose of protecting our legitimate interests (e.g. proving that legal and contractual obligations to the consumer have been fulfilled).

The Faculty can store the said data only as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the data is processed.

 

3. Consumer rights related to the processing of personal data

The consumer with regard to the personal data processing performed by the seller has the right to request from the Faculty access to the personal data related to the consumer in accordance with Article 26 of the Personal Data Protection Act, as well as the right to request the correction or addition of such data.

The consumer has the right to demand from the Faculty the deletion of personal data relating to him, provided that the data whose deletion is requested is no longer necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were processed.

The consumer has the right to limit the processing of personal data relating to him in accordance with
Article 31 of the Personal Data Protection Act.

The consumer has the right to object to the processing of personal data relating to him, in which case the Faculty is obliged to stop the processing of such data unless he has presented that there are legal reasons for the processing that prevail over the interests, rights or freedoms of the person to whom the data refer or are related to the submission, realization or defense of a legal claim.

The consumer has the right to file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commissioner if he believes that the seller has processed the consumer’s personal data contrary to the Personal Data Protection Act.

 

4. Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device, ensuring more efficient functioning of websites and pages. Cookies enable our site to recognize you and remember important information to make your use of the site more comfortable.

How do third parties use “cookies” on the “Law Faculty of Union University in Belgrade” website?

In order to provide certain services on its website, the Law Faculty of Union University in Belgrade may cooperate with third parties. Other advertisers and other organizations may use their own “cookies” to collect information about your activities on our website. This information may be used by a third party to display advertisements that it believes will be of interest to you based on the content you have viewed. The advertisers in question may use this information to determine the effectiveness of their ads.
